Krysten Hergert is an of counsel attorney at Speaker Law Firm - meaning she is not an associate but does represent clients on behalf of the Firm. As an appellate attorney representing clients on behalf of Speaker Law Firm, Krysten handles appeals that focus primarily within civil law or probate and estate planning.

Krysten graduated from Cooley Law School in 2023. While she was a student there, she acquired a passion for estate planning by participating in a clinic where she wrote wills for community members for free of charge. She finds it easy to approach estate planning issues with compassion as she understands navigating family dynamics based off her own family-centered values. At Cooley Law School, Krysten also served as the Executive Articles Editor on Cooley’s Law Review.

Before attending law school, Krysten worked as a technical writer drafting proposals for professional services firms. She received her Bachelor of Science from Michigan Technological University where she also served as the Editor-in-Chief for the student newspaper.

Her free time is spent building her own family’s legacy as she and her husband raise their two young children.
